Can you think of a better way to give yourself a treat after an exhausting week than going to those amazing restaurants with your friends? If yes, good on you. If no, give me a high-five! The Korean restaurant that I’m about to recommend is located right in the heart of Melbourne city, and the food here won’t let you down, I guarantee.

Welcome to CJ Lunchbar!

Honestly, I’ve been here with my friends too many times to remember, and every time we are filled joy and satisfaction. CJ Luchbar is not a fancy restaurant, it’s quite small and casual, yet the atmosphere is cosy and inviting. That’s why the restaurant is usually packed and at peak hours customers have to wait in lines while looking at the menu before being seated and ordering the meal. But the food is well worth the wait, because it is cheap and very tasty.

If you come here for the first time, you must try the ‘Cheese Chicken Bulgogi’! This is the restaurant’s specialty, and I notice that no one comes here without ordering this dish.

Cooked in well-seasoned bulgogi sauce, the chicken is tender, juicy and a little bit spicy. The cheese at the top melts onto the sizzling hot chicken and creates such a delicious smell that makes your mouth water right at the instant the dish is served. This savoury dish is to be eaten with steamed rice, and there’ll be kimchi and fish cakes as your side dish. Besides this specialty, there is a wide variety of Korean traditional dishes to choose from, ranging from Tteokbokki (Korean spicy rice cake) to Japchae (stir-fried sweet potato noodles), to hot pots and so on.
